Raised in Toronto, Ontario, Gail attended secondary school at York Memorial Collegiate Institute. A natural born athlete who participated in many sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and badmington.
After graduating, Gail enrolled in the University of Toronto and majored in kinesology (the science of human movement). She later transfered to Ryerson University and changed her major to nutrition.
Gail enrolled in Ron Hutchinson's Pro Wrestling Gym, and began training to become a professional wrestler.
In December of 2000, Gail made her professional debut to Toronto's Apocalypse Wrestling Federation under a mask, using the name, La Felina. In that match, she lost to Tracy Brooks.
In October of 2002, Gail signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.
On a December 7 2002 WWE Live event, Gail made her successful WWE debut in a bra and panties match against Dawn Marie.
In 2003, Gail was on the road with WWE, mainlg competing in bikini contests and occasionally, diva tag matches.
It was on the June 9th 2003 when the first vignettes begun for Gail Kim, with a new "matrix" style gimmick.
Gail made an immediate impact on WWE television, winning the WWE Womens Championship in a 7 diva battle royal. Gail would go on to defend that title before eventually losing it to Molly Holly on July 28th 2003.
A heel turn for Gail soon followed, and soon, teaming with Molly Holly, started taking out Trish Stratus.
On November 10th 2003, Gail suffered a fractured right collarbone in a match with Trish.
Gail would make her return to WWE in April of 2004, teaming up once again with Molly Holly, suffering a defeat at the hands of Lita and Victoria.
Gail went on to become number 1 contender after making then womens champ, Victoria, tap out on a number of occasions.
At Bad Blood, Gail was in a 4 way match for the WWE Womens title, but came up short as Trish won her 5th title.
October 19th 2004 saw Gail's last televised match with WWE in a "School Girl" battle royal, which was also won by Trish.
It was November 3rd, 2004, Gail Kim was officially released from her WWE contract.
Gail made her triumphant return to the ring in January 2005 in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling (in Korea) when she teamed with Lollipop to defeat Malia Hosaka and former WWE diva Nidia.
February 27th 2005, Gail defeated Nidia in Toryumon X (in Mexico).
June 26th, Gail and JP Tarantula defeated Shantelle & El Fuego in mixed tag match in Warrior 1 Wrestling.
Gail signed for TNA in September and debuted on October 4th when TNA iMPACT debuted on Spike TV attacking Team 3D and showing her allegance with Jeff Jarrett and Americas Most Wanted. Gail made her TNA pay per view in ring debut as a part of a 6 person mixed tag team match, teaming with Americas Most Wanted in an attept to regain the NWA World Tag Team titles for her team, taking on current champions, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and their "Neutralizer, Sirelda at Victory Road. Gail made her singles in ring pay per view debut at Hard Justice, picking up the win over Sirelda.
Gail has also worked a number of matches against Traci Brookes and Amber O'Neal at UWF-TNA live events.
Following the break up of Americas Most Wanted and Chris Harris being put on the shelf, Gail was managing "Cowboy" James Storm. After some mistreatment at the hands of Storm, Gail was attacked from behind by "The Pride of Tenessee" Jackie Moore, and then began a feud with Storm and Moore, teaming up with Petey Williams, coming out on the losing end of most of the matches, Gail and Jackie went head to head at TNA's Lockdown event in April 2007 inside a 6 sides of steel match which saw Gail come out victorious. Gail then continued her winning ways by defeating Jackie Moore in a street fight (where she knocked out a few of Jackie's teeth).
Gail then began to feud with Traci Brookes after standing up for Eric Young. Gail picked up a number of wins in mixed tag team matches including at Victory Road and on iMPACT.
More recently, TNA has been building the womens division in which Roxxi Levaux defeated Gail Kim to become the number 10 entrant in the Knockout gauntlet at Bound For Glory and on the 2 hour premier of TNA iMPACT, Gail Kim defeated Jackie Moore.
At the TNA iMPACT prior to Bound For Glory, Gail suffered defeat at the hands of Awesome Kong, however she bounced back to win the 10 woman gauntlet match at Bound For Glory pinning Roxxi with the Air Raid Siren.
Since making history again, Gail has successfully defended the Knockouts championship at TNA Genesis in a fatal four way defeating Roxxi, ODB and Angel Williams. Gail defeated Awesome Kong at TNA's Turning Point PPV on December 2nd to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship on a disqualification when Kong attacked the referee leading to a No Disqualification match at Final Resolution which Gail also won, this time pinning the monster with a roll up.
The following Thursday on iMPACT, Awesome Kong received another shot at the gold accompanied by a mystery associate but following the beating at Final Resolution, the odds were too much and Gail was defeated and Awesome Kong walked away as the Knockouts Champion.

I'm glad WWE has a diva like her now, but she's probably not going to do much since WWE has become so.....awful, haha. I mean, she lost her championship match against Maryse. And she's yet to have won either belt since redebuting. I guess it's good that she;s going to be in this next PPV. Hopefully she'll start to get into better matches, and get some gold.
